Vintage Art Deco Bakelite Lamp Stand

An original and very appealing candlestick-style table lamp stand with Art Deco influences and probably dating from the 1930s. Made from Bakelite which is in excellent condition considering its age, the lamp stand features a stepped circular base with push button switch, and a waisted central column. The top and base have a matching edge design which add subtle elegance.

The lamp stand measures approximately 23cm (9 in.) high (including the bulb holder) and the base has a diameter of 12.5cm (5 in.). Please note: the glass shade pictured is of a later design and is for display only. Should you wish to pair it with the lamp stand, and buy both, please get in touch. This items has not been electrically tested, so please be aware that it requires attention and inspection before use. There is a slight wobble to the top of the lamp stand where the bulb holder fits, but this should be an easy fix and doesn't affect the lamp in normal use.

Vintage Pifco Bedside Wrist Watch Illumination Lamp

Undoubtedly the smallest and probably the quirkiest item of lighting we've had pass through our hands, this is a Pifco bedside light which performs a single function only and it's quite a niche function at that! It allows a person to read the time on their wristwatch in the middle of the night without disturbing anyone else - it's as simple and ingenious as that. A clip secures the watch to the "Z" shaped light and a lever-style button to the side turns the little bulb on and off to illuminate the watch dial underneath the bulb. It's simple, and more than a little bit unusual!

In full working order and in very good condition with the cream paintwork in a good state, the light takes two "C" size batteries and can accomodate most watches with a flexible strap. The light is about 10 cm ( 4 in.) in height.

Vintage Yellow Gooseneck Desk or Bedside Lamp Perforated Shade

Sometimes attributed to Hala Zeist, though more likely a variation on the Maclamp model TL33, this iconic-shaped desk or bedside lamp features a perforated conical shade and brass gooseneck. Dating from the 1970s, it is presented in a yellow tone and is in good condition with only minor signs of wear and tear. The shade, perforated in two places (stars near the open end and circular holes near the closed rear), is notable in that it has retained a very good shape. The circular base houses a centrally located simple on-off push switch in black and white. An uncommon lamp, in an unusual colour, and in very presentable condition to boot.

The lamp measures approximately 38cm (15 in.) high with the neck fully extended, the neck itself is about 26cm (10 in.) in length, and the lamp base is approximately 13cm (5 in.) in diameter.

IKEA Memphis Style Colourful Desk Lamp Type B9409 Made in Italy

With more than just a nod to "Memphis" styling this Italian-made IKEA bedside lamp features bold primary multi-colour shapes in its metal and plastic construction. It's a fun little lamp and was probably originally intended for a child's or teenager's bedroom, but it's a great - and relatively serious - piece of design in its own right, especially in retrospect.

This one includes its original blue soft bulb, includes an inline switch, and is in excellent condition considering it dates back to the 1980s.

The lamp measures approximately 33 cm high, the plastic shade has a lower rim diameter of 15 cm and the base has a diameter of 13 cm. In excellent condition throughout.
