It's a great example of the folk art style.  The carving is signed and our research indicates it is either by Paul Caron himself or was made by the family company of the same name shortly  after his death. Later products by the company appear to have a different form of signature, so we believe this to be an early model.

It measures 8 in / 20cm high and is in good condition, albeit with minor wear and tear consistent with age and materials.
