A pair of very charming tray style wooden jigsaw puzzles made by W.R. Kelly of Stonham Aspal, Suffolk. Each is a simplified and colourful depiction, one of a lorry and the other a steam ship, with six and five pieces respectively. Intended for the younger child, certainly. They look great on display and that's what would be envisaged their use now. Both have signs of age and wear, with the boat jigsaw having also some minor damage as well (see the photos for details). The lorry puzzle has a sticker on the reverse whilst the ship has a somewhat smudged stamp to its rear side.

Each puzzle measures approximately 7 inches (18cm) square.

Vintage Children’s Book “Another, Another, Another, and More” Marion Walter, 1973

A vintage children's book devised and illustrated by Marion Walter, "Another, Another, Another, and More" published by Andre Deutsch in 1973. This charmingly illustrated hardback book teaches children about shapes, mirrors, reflection and symmetry, and comes with the original mirror which is used within the book to explore the way a mirror interacts with the varied illustrations.

In fair condition, with some minor foxing and signs of yellowing to the pages and some tape which has been added to hold the mirror in place inside the front cover.

Vintage Roger Hargreaves’ Timbuctoo “Roar” Wind Up Toy and Book (1978)

"Timbuctoo" was a range of animal sound-inspired children's books and other items penned by Roger Hargreaves, more famous - of course - for the "Mr. Men" series. Published in 1978, the original stories revolved around twelve animal characters, of which the lion called "Roar" was one. Available here is not only the book but also the wind-up "walking" toy figure of Roar to accompany it - a very nice matching set for the collector or for the nostalgic.

The book is in fair condition, with some curling to the corners and some yellowing, but otherwise clean. The figure is in good shape, too, with its walking mechanism intact and functional and no chips or cracks to the plastics. The book, 34 pages including full page colour illustrations, measures 16.5cm (6½ in.) by 14.5 (5¾ in.) and the toy is approximately 8cm (3 in.) in height.

1960s Mi-Ken Baby Animal Clock with Moving Eyes Made in Japan

A rather kitsch and cute "Baby Animal" clock made by Mi-Ken of Japan - most likely a panda or other bear, despite the generic nature of the label! This little wind-up clock's main feature is the moving eye mechanism, with the eyes moving left and right with the second ticks. Boxed (and a nice box at that) with original packaging, pendulum and a key for winding it up, this little clock raises a smile in everyone who sees it, almost guaranteed...! Instructions for mounting the clock and using it are included on a label to the rear.

The clock is in fully working condition and has only one minor aesthetic flaw - a small patch of paint loss to one of the bear's feet. Otherwise, it's in good shape considering its age and use. Please note, this clock does emit a ticking noise, so please be aware if sensitive to this.

IKEA Memphis Style Colourful Desk Lamp Type B9409 Made in Italy

With more than just a nod to "Memphis" styling this Italian-made IKEA bedside lamp features bold primary multi-colour shapes in its metal and plastic construction. It's a fun little lamp and was probably originally intended for a child's or teenager's bedroom, but it's a great - and relatively serious - piece of design in its own right, especially in retrospect.

This one includes its original blue soft bulb, includes an inline switch, and is in excellent condition considering it dates back to the 1980s.

The lamp measures approximately 33 cm high, the plastic shade has a lower rim diameter of 15 cm and the base has a diameter of 13 cm. In excellent condition throughout.

Berwick Toys Handicraft Compendium – 1950s Weaving Sewing Knitting Embroidery Set

A very charming and colourful children's handicraft compendium by Berwick Toys and dating from the 1950s-60s. This vintage compendium includes a sewing kit, embroidery kit, french knitting bobbin, a loom and a tapestry set. Remarkably, it all seems to be complete and unused, and so is perhaps a rare find! The original instructions are included and the outer box is in good condition considering its age.
