Sheerlite Cascade Fibre Optic Lamp from the 1970s

A slice, or rather tube, of glorious kitsch-ness from the 1970s, this is the Sheerlite "Cascade" lamp which is a twist on the fibre-optic lamps of the time. With its semi-transparent (smoked-ish) main tube and gold base, the "Cascade" lamp gives off a general glow from its body whilst the white fibre optics then cascade out from the top and provide the extra interest. There's no colour changing or other gimmickery to the lamp - but it's a great little lamp for those wanting a more subtle fibre optic light than is generally the norm. It's certainly kitsch to modern eyes, but it's certainly on the sophisticated, glamourous side of it!

In good condition with only minor signs of wear and tear to the body and some discolouration to the inner tube. One or two slightly deformed optics are the only other things of note. The lamp is fully functioning.

Vintage Daalderop Handbeaten Copper and Wood Sailing Boat

A very appealing and unusual sailing boat ornament made in Holland by Daalderop. Appears to be handbeaten copper with a wooden hull and a metal base which is stamped with the maker's mark. Looks super on a sideboard or shelf as a display piece.

Base measures approximately 24cm long by 5cm wide

Ornament outer extremities measure approximately 30cm long, 24cm wide, 20cm tall.

Mallod Mid Century Bent Plywood Coal Scuttle

A mid-Century bent plywood coal scuttle which we believe was made by Mallod (no label is present but it's absolutely their style). Ideal re-purposed as a waste-paper or storage bin, the distinctive shape of the scuttle is matched by the materials - the bent plywood offset by copper fixtures and fittings.

In good cosmetic condition, it does show signs of wear but that only adds to the look of it: expect there to be significant scratches and dings, and some minor chips to the rim. The base has more significant signs of wear and tear, but remains solid... not enough perhaps to act as originally intended but certainly sturdy enough to use for light storage duties. The item has been cleaned and waxed to protect the finish and to enhance the look.

Hunting Horn
