The birds are in painted wood and are stamped with "foreign" on their bases.  You might possibly think of these as pure kitsch, but they are most certainly "seasoning with a smile".

The base measures approx. 6 cm by 12.5 cm (approx. 2¼ in by 4¾ in) and each bird measures 9 cm (tail to beak!) by 4.5 cm ( 3¾ in by 1¾ in), with a maximum height of 11cm (4½ in).  We measure them as 8.5 on the Kitsch Scale.
