1970s Orange and White Circular Plastic Desk Tidy / Pen Holder

Who doesn't like a desk tidy? We certainly like them, and this one is a nice example of the sort, made in Hong Kong and dating from the 1970s. It's a circular plastic tidy which has a diameter of about 13cm and a height of 5.5cm, with four compartments in the body which pull out on single hinges, four tray sections on top, and a central pen holder. Typically orange and white colours (though the white is somewhat cream now), this makes a pleasing addition to a desktop. Please note, pens, pencils, rubber bands, etc., pictured are not included.

Danish Teak Side Table with drawers and rattan shelf – rare at this size!

It's quite uncommon to find small pieces of Danish mid-century furniture, and this stunning side table with drawers and a rattan undershelf is proof that good things do indeed come in small packages (sometimes!). A sleek and stylish profile houses some useful storage in the shape of two drawers and a rattan covered open shelf and the unit sits on a great pair of "compass" shaped legs. In very clean condition with signs of wear and tear consistent with the age of the item, this table is not just good because it's small, it's good because it is good and very usable in a modern home.

The table measures 58cm (23 in) high, with a width of 64cm (25 in) and a depth of 30cm (12 in).

Mid-Century Set of Drawers by William Lawrence of Nottingham

A handsome Mid-Century set of drawers with glossy finished teak top and three solid drawers. Well proportioned legs and a gallery rail complete the look. The top drawer is slightly shallower than the other two and contains the original maker's stamp "William Lawrence of Nottingham". The drawers have original and sturdy metal handles with the latter having some wear from use so that their original gold colour is diminished. The top surface of the set of drawers is in good condition, with some minor scratches and signs of wear and tear overall, but nothing that detracts from the overall look. One drawer runner has had a repair and works smoothly and sturdily.

The set of drawers has a width of 92cm (36in), is 68cm (27in) high, and has a depth of 43cm (17 in). We think with those proportions and these stylish good looks, it would look equally at home in an office, bedroom or living room, or even as a hallway piece.
