For boiled eggs with a bit of panache... a pair of vintage Cascade Glass egg saucers with a textured effect in their original box with maker's label present and intact. Each saucer has a diameter of 11.5 cm (4½ in.) and a depth of 2.5cm (1 in.) and is almost certainly based on an original Danish design used under license. These would appear to date from the 1970s.

In unused condition. The outer box has some minor signs of age and wear, but is in good cosmetic and structural condition.

A genuine and original vintage egg holder in an unusual Ferris Wheel style design, made of red plastic coated wire with white capped feet - definitely nodding towards an atomic / sputnik look. An unusual kitchen accessory for those wanting to keep the Mid-Century aesthetic running throughout their home... even down to how their eggs are stored!

In good used condition with some wear to the plastic coating in places but structurally sound and still very, very usable. The holder measures approximately 17cm (6¾ in.) in height and width, with a depth of 6cm (2¼ in.). The circular "holder" section has a diameter of approximately 13cm (5 in.).

Made of the finest Hong Kong plastic, this survivor of the 1970s provides breakfast with extra "BOOM! BOOM!", featuring as it does television's Basil Brush. As an egg cup no less.

In good condition aside from some slight discoloration along the plastic "seam", it's sure to raise a smile as part of a kitsch retro display or indeed at the breakfast table where you may or may not find it eminently practical.

These quaint wooden egg cups, marked "Norge" and made in Norway, each feature a charming painted face design for "his and hers" eggs with vintage style or for simply using as decorative items with a twist.

Both are in excellent condition (see, we don't always resort to cheap puns!), and one has a rather amusing pencil mark on the underside of the base which we have left intact and which reads: "HANDS OFF MINE"!

Made in 1962 in West Germany, this abstract design pottery egg cup is about as cool as an egg cup can get (possibly - we've certainly not seen one better!). It's egg-shaped in plan with a palette of browns and features a slot to store your egg spoon* in between skirmishes. Not much more to be said, really, except that if you want to eat your boiled egg with a bit of 60s style then this is the egg cup for you!

* Egg spoon not included, sorry!

A set of two very charming painted wooden egg cups, one shaped as a soldier and the other as a gentleman in a suit and bow tie. As you will see from the photos, these are probably not for everyday use as originally intended, but we think they are absolutely lovely little decorative items with oodles of character and whimsical aesthetic appeal.

The soldier has lost an arm in battle and the gentleman has possibly lost a nose in a book somewhere (we presume). Both have significant wear and tear due to their age and use. However, we honestly think that this just adds to their attractiveness. Both measure about 9 cm (3½ in) in height with a diameter of around 2.5 cm (1 in) at the base.
