Vintage Wood-handled Aluminium Mechanic’s Workshop Inspection Lamp

A very unusual vintage handheld lamp which was most likely used in a workshop or garage for inspections. Consisting of an aluminium shade with a wood handle, this item which probably dates from or before the 1950s but would make an nteresting and quirky piece of lighting now.

The original cabling has been replaced with a generous length (3m) of suitable braided neutral-coloured alternative and the lamp has been tested as working. It has an unusual rotating switch for turning the light on and off. There is wear throughout but both the metal shade and the wood handle have been sensitively restored to retain the character of the lamp.

The lamp has an oveall length of 30cm (12 in.|), the shade rim has a diameter of 19cm (7½ in.) and a depth of 18cm (7 in.), whilst the handle is approximately 17cm (6¾ in.) in length.

Rare Vintage Brass and Nickel Everready Octagonal Handled Flashlight Torch

A very unusual, vintage - possibly antique - hand flashlight / torch made by Everready, with a very distinctive octagonal handle, integrated hanging loop built into the end, and in full working order. The torch takes three size "D" or equivalent batteries and uses a standard small torch bulb. The switch can be used to momentarily illuminate or pushed to continuously illuminate.

The torch has signs of age and use, including dents and wear throughout - the latter revealing it is likely made of a nickel (or similar) plated brass. The torch measures approximately 23cm ( 9 in.) in length with the intact glass lens just over 5cm (2 in.) in diameter. An interesting display piece...or indeed a quite usable torch :)

Vintage Wooden Cutlery Drawer Tray with Original Paper Liners

A wooden cutlery tray in genuine vintage condition with its original paper liners, which are flower-patterned in mustard, yellow and cream - very firmly from the 1960s! The tray has four compartments of varying sizes, carry handles, and is ready for use, either for cutlery or for other storage or organisation purposes.

The tray measures approximately 35 cm by 25 cm by 6 cm (13½ in. by 10 in. by 2½ in.).

Rectangular Modernist Sadler Jug Vase in Moss Green (Form 168)

A very strikingly "different" jug vase from Sadler. Well known for their more traditional shapes, this vase is anything but that, with its rectangular form, "bobble" and "ribbing" textures and uncompromising styling. If a pottery vase can be brutal or modernist, then this one can make the claim. In a moss green colour with square rim and handle, the vase measures 11.5cm (4½ in.) in width, 7.5cm (3 in.) in depth and is 13cm (5¼ in.) high. The vase is in good condition with only very minor and superficial signs of age and wear. There are a couple of minor grazes which are only noticeable under very close inspection.

Vintage Yellow Wicker Effect Lunch Box / Tin – British Made

A very fine looking tin lunchbox (or tin with a handle, if you prefer) with a yellow woven wicker effect pattern and "British Made" printed on it. This item is of some age - we suspect at least from the 1950s - and it looks great as a display piece. The signs of use and wear all add to the character and appeal of it, but it is in good clean condition otherwise.

One edge and corner has slight gaping but the latch fastener, handle, and hinges are sound and the tin is structurally very good. With the lid down, the tin measures 20cm by 11cm by 9.5cm (8in. by 4¼in. by 3½in.).

Vintage Bamboo and Wire Folding Bowl or Basket with Handle

Of unknown origins, but clearly of some age, this bamboo and wood bowl or basket features a bamboo handle and edging and folds down for storage. The structure is held together by wire with black bead detailing.

The items shows some signs of ageing and wear but is sound. When fully opened the basket has external dimensions of approximately 32cm by 26cm (12½ in. by 10¼ in.) with a height of 13cm (5 in.) whilst the handle extends to 15cm (6 in.) in height. When folded up the basket measures approximately 24cm by 29cm by 3cm (9½ in. by 11½ in. by 1¼ in.)

Antique Extending Table Winder with Walnut Handle

A genuine antique winder handle for an extending table. We estimate the age of this to be at least Victorian, possibly older. The wooden section of the handle appears to be made of walnut. Not only a nice decorative item but also fully usable as originally intended. Please see photos for details of condition.
