It's an uncompromising but handsome design with some elegance to it, and some interesting small touches such as the shape at the end of the sweeping second hand which gestures towards a rocket orbiting around the earth. The very quiet movement is made in Japan and is powered by a single "C" type battery.

The clock is in very good condition and fully functional. Unlike many of its type there is very little wear to the plastics and paintwork, and there are no chips or cracks to the casing.  The clock measures approximately 16.5 cm (width) by 8cm (depth) by 21cm (height) - 6½ in. by 3¼ in. by 8¼ in - with the clock "face" measuring 14 cm (5½ in.) in diameter.
