Made in Japan, the S-4 tripod features a flexible pan head for camera mounting, solid elevator mechanism for height adjustment and three-sectioned legs with screw release mechanisms - and all in a rather stylish black and grey finish. In terms of condition, the tripod is good with only some very minor signs of wear and tear: the odd scratch or graze to surfaces/edges but nothing major at all. All the mechanisms are sound and smooth in operation and it feels solid and dependable. The box is in relatively good condition considering its age, with signs of wear and tear to be expected but cosmetically good overall.

The tripod adjusts from a minimum height of approx. 43cm (17 in.) with no elevation, the legs unextended and including the mount, to a maximum height of approx. 135cm (53 in.) with elevator fully open, the legs fully extended and including the mount. The mount has a "T" shaped cutout for adjusting the camera position as well as x-axis and y-axis adjusters and a horizontal vs. vertical orientation if so desired. The tripod is relatively lightweight considering its age and build quality, weighing in at under 1.5Kg.

The tray is a mid-blue colour and features a black cat design with patterns in yellow, green and blue. The sides of the tray measure approximately 3cm.

In good condition, with superficial signs of age and use (minor scratches, etc.) but with a good shape and no significant defects.  The original sticker label is retained on the underside of the tray.
