An unusual find, this signed pair of large matching Rei Hamon litho prints date from the 1970s and have been appropriately framed for display as an eye-catching double act. Hamon was born in Auckland in 1919 and died in 2008, and, having taken it up in his middle age, was prolific and successful with his trademark pointillist skills through the latter part of the 1960s into the early 1980s, before arthritis forced a slowdown in his output. Reknowned for his knowledge of the environment and attention to the native species of New Zealand, his work combines technical skill with an individualistic approach to the subject. He was made a CBE in 1981.

Hamon's "Jewels of Okarito" from 1976 was presented by the New Zealand government to Queen Elizabeth II on her state visit, and forms one of the pair. "Return to Still Waters" from 1978 completes the couple. Both have been signed - with the latter including an indication of its edition number (128) and date in the same hand.

In good condition with some minor discoloration to the prints due to age, these are fine examples of the artist's exhaustive work on the flora and fauna of New Zealand, of pointillist technique specificially, and of sympathetic landscape art in general.

The prints are displayed inside apertures measuring 28.5 cm by 22.5 cm (11¼ in. by 8¾ in. approx.). The frames measure 46.5 cm by 40 cm (18 in. by 15¾ in. approx.). The mounts are a complementary dark grey colour. The prints are being sold as a pair but please get in touch if you would like to purchase one of them as an individual piece.

A very impressive and well-executed oil painting which we believe dates from the early 1970s. Our research reveals that the artist K. S. White (Kay White) was active and painted other scenes around this time. Regardless of its origins, we simply like this painting of Gara Rock in Devon with its sensitive colour palette and very dextrous paint handling and textures. This really is a good quality artwork by a clearly very capable artist.

The painting is on Fine Grain 18 in. x 14 in. inch Daler Board (the nature of which also provides a good indication of the date) and is in good, clean condition. The colours are good and there is no damage to the board or the frame. The painting is signed at the bottom right "Kay White" and the rear of the board reads "K. S. White Gara Rock"

This vintage oak panel originated from a now disused church and features a charmingly naive painted scene, depicting a stylised green hilly landscape with a river and bridge. The colours are strong and the artist clearly had some skill in execution. It is a highly unusual piece with considerable decorative appeal.

The wood panel measures 23cm by 38cm (9 x 15 in.) and is approximately 2cm (¾ in.) thick, and appears to be of some age. The painted portion of the panel measures 13cm by 19cm (5 x 7.5 in.). The work is unsigned. There are no fixings for wall hanging, but they could easily be added by the purchaser.

These magnificent six drinks coasters come in a suitably grand decorative box. Made by John Lee and dating from the 1960s, each coaster is soft-backed and features a Scottish landmark or natural scene. The scenes include "Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond", "Marscoe, Isle of Skye", "Ben Nevis", "Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire", "Looking Across Loch Roe To Suilven & Canisp", and "Rowan Time At Loch Leven". Truly kitsch!

In good condition, with only minor wear and tear consistent with their age.
