Vintage Leather Effect Wood and Board Desktop Paper or Letter Tray with Lid

Definitely vintage, possibly antique, but certainly only befitting of someone important with a desk to match their status. This large leather effect paper or letter tray has a leather effect finish and a burgundy lining to the base and the underside of the lid. The lid itself is sturdy and ensures no papers are allowed to escape the confines of the tray. It's a combination of wood and a kind of compressed paper board, whilst the knob on the lid is solid wood, so it's solid in construction and feels like it has some quality to it. It has signs of wear and age throughout, but that only adds to the charm and makes it more appealing in situ.

It measures 23.5cm (9¼ in.) across the front, 36cm (14¼ in.) from front to back, and has a height of 6cm (2½ in.).

Pair of Vintage Bright Orange Tefal Aluminium Pans (One Lidded)

A pair of Tefal saucepans in bright orange colour with pale grey interiors presented in unused condition, complete with original stickers intact. Even the knob for the lid is still in place on the "wrong" side, having never been removed as per the instructions. There be may one or two minor signs of storage wear but otherwise these are absolutely as they would have been when initially bought. These would look the part in any retro kitchen, and although they could of course be used as designed, they could also be retained in this condition and serve as vintage decorative items (the handles have "loops" which would make hanging them easy). The bright orange would certainly add colour to any !

The two pans are as follows:

rim diameter 17.5 cm (6¾ in.), base diameter 16cm (6½ in.), height 8cm (3¼ in.) not including lid.
rim diameter 16.5 cm (6½ in.), base diameter 12.5 cm (5 in.), height 8.5cm (3½ in.).

French Arcopal Volcan Lidded Opaline Glass Casserole / Tureen / Serving Dish

A superb vintage piece made in France by Arcopal, part of their distinctive but increasingly uncommon Volcan range, this large circular lidded dish - suitable for casseroles, as a serving dish or tureen - is heavy and toughened, reminiscent of Pyrex glassware. In a striking marbled orange, mustard and brown with a textured finish this dish is not only a very useful kitchen or dining item but it also would make a fabulous decorative piece in its own right.

Measurements:
Rim diameter 21cm (8¼ in.)
Base diameter 12cm (4¾ in.)
Height 9cm (3½ in.) without lid, 14cm (5½ in.) with lid.

The dish and lid are both in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.

Vintage Turned Wood Pot Pourri Bowl with beautifully contrasting grain

A turned wood pot pourri bowl with small lid which appears to be of vintage origins - possibly handmade - and which features a beautifully contrasting wood grain. The body of the bowl is of a darker wood (possibly teak) with a contrasting lighter top surface and small lid with subtle knob which have a strikingly grained appearance. The top surface has been perforated with a star pattern. The base has a green felt for portection of surfaces. In very good condition with no chips or dings to speak of.

The bowl measures approximately 10cm (4 in.) high, with a top diameter of 14.5 cm (5¾ in.) and a base diameter of 10cm (4 in.)

British Columbia Centenary Two-Handled Lidded Ceramic Jar

Made in Japan by the company of Shafford (suspicious name!) this two-handled lidded ceramic jar was a souvenir celebrating the centenary of British Columbia (1858-1958). On top of the native symbolism and form the jar features Centenary Sam, the "mascot" of the celebrations. The base of the jar proudly exclaims that it has been hand-decorated, whilst the somewhat erratic nature of these hand decorations adds to the quirky nature of the item. Compare the hand decorated "totem" design and the rendition of Centenary Sam with other centenary memorabilia and you'll see a fair degree of artistic licence at play!

The jar is in very good condition and measures 13cm from handle to handle (5 in.), with a height of 10cm (4 in.) and a base diameter of 10cm (4 in.)

Vintage Arcoroc Glass Lidded Butter Dish with Cow Relief Pattern

A heavy and robust vintage vintage lidded glass butter dish, made in France by Arcoroc, with a pressed relief design featuring a cow and "ribbed" detailing.

Measures 17cm x 10.5cm x 7.5cm (6¾ in. by 4¼ in. by 3in. approx.). In very good condition with barely a sign of use and no chips or cracks.

Prinknash Sugar Bowl or Lidded Preserve Pot

If you know your pottery then you would probably associate Prinknash Pottery and their earthenware with metallic or pewter glazes, but this piece could not be more different.

It combines cool tones of pale blue and grey in a leaf style design with a white tapering-shaped ground to produce a very chic looking sugar bowl or preserve pot which would add a bit of retro style to any table.

Diameter at the top is 6.5cm (2½in) and at the base 7.5cm (3in) and a height of 6cm (2¼in) excluding the lid. Condition is very good with no noticeable chips or cracks. The maker's mark is clearly embossed into the base.
