In addition to it's floral pattern design, the interior of the box has a very nice pale gold pattern paper/fabric lining in the form of repeating fan shapes.

Suitable either for decoration or as a trinket box, this box is difficult to date and its origins are sketchy, but it looks great and that's good enough for us. It measures 14.5cm by 9.5cm by 5cm (5¾ x 3¾ x 2 in) and is in good condition, barring some wear and tear and a narrow scratch or two. These don't affect the overall aesthetics, and the box and lid hinge are both solid and functional.
