A stunning highly stylised carved wood bird which is believed to date from the Mid-Century period. Most likely teak and probably a long-tailed tit, this is an expertly realised piece with great attention to the grain and to the form. It is typical of mid-century modern stylised decorative wood carving and is a superb and uncommon example of its type.

The bird measures approximately 30cm (12 in.) from tip of the tail to the beak. with a height of 9cm (3½ in.). It is In excellent condition with no chips to the form, just some very minor wear to the flat "base".

Very collectable and very cute small pottery bird from Tremar Pottery, this one depicting a long-tailed tit. This little chap measures approximately 6cm by 3cm by 3cm (2¼ in by 1 in by 1 in).
