The frame itself has classical geometric decoration and beading details and certainly makes a statement. The outer frame measures 57.5cm x 42.5cm ( 22.5in. x 16.75in.) and the blackboard (frame aperture) is 46cm x 31cm (18in. x 12in.).

There is age-related wear and tear to the frame which adds to the look and contrasts well with the blackboard, and there is some slight gaping in the mitres but nothing very noticeable or concerning.  The frame is sound and solid otherwise.  Please note: no fixings are provided with this particular frame, but there are eyelet rings already present on the frame ready for horizontal hanging if that is the buyer's preference.
