A small battery-powered Micronta LCD clock which has a few tricks up its err... small sleeves. This relatively uncommon unit dates from the 1980s and is mainly brown plastic with silver tone panels. It measures just 8cm square with a height of 7cm. There is an alarm and snooze function, with options for either 12-hour or 24-hour clock display formats, and a thermometer which provides a temperature reading in either Degrees Celsius or Fahrent units. And it has a small light too to illuminate the display.
We think you'd agree that all is quite a lot crammed into such a small package.

The Big Time. This is an Estyma E-801 digital alarm clock which was badged as a "Micronta" in some regions and sold through Radio Shack. It's a large and uncompromising slab of silvery-grey plastic with black contrasting sections typical of the 1980s. The bulk of the front is dominated by the LED display - the digits themselves are about 4.5 cm tall. The slim top surface has buttons for snooze, display brightness, alarm on/off and time and alarm time settings - button and switch controls in the same silvery-grey against a black recessed area.

In good overall condition, aside from some minor wear to the top edge of the front panel and some scratches to the front display. It is in good working order. Please note, the alarm on this is quite loud and rather disturbing - perfect if you're a heavy sleeper though! ;)
The unit measures approximately 23 cm across the front, has a depth of 7cm and a height of 11cm.

Dating from the 1980s, the Micronta VoxClock 2 is a computerised speaking clock originally sold through Radio Shack and Tandy shops. It not only speaks the time in a robotic voice at the push of a button, but also provides additional functionality in the form of hourly spoken "chimes", an alarm, and a countdown timer. The clock is housed in a cube which has wood effect finish on four sides, a silver grey metal mesh front, with settings options and handy quick guide to the rear.

This one is in very good condition - with only very minor signs of age and use - and is complete with original box and instructions. The clock uses 3 x "AA" batteries for operation (not supplied).
