A vintage children's book devised and illustrated by Marion Walter, "Another, Another, Another, and More" published by Andre Deutsch in 1973. This charmingly illustrated hardback book teaches children about shapes, mirrors, reflection and symmetry, and comes with the original mirror which is used within the book to explore the way a mirror interacts with the varied illustrations.

In fair condition, with some minor foxing and signs of yellowing to the pages and some tape which has been added to hold the mirror in place inside the front cover.

Vintage Small Square Japanese-Style Mirror

An unusual small square mirror in black and mustard yellow tones with a Japanese style and theme - a circular design inside the square with a lady, fan and tree. In good vintage condition with just a couple of minor scratches to the front of the mirror which doesn't severely affect its use or its good looks. The rear of the mirror is plain black with a small hanging fixture.

The mirror measures 20cm (8 in.) square and is approximately 5mm (¼ in.) deep, not including the hanging fixture.

Repousse Brass Bevelled Mirror in a hexagonal surround

This fabulously shaped brass repousse surrounded bevel mirror has considerable vintage appeal as well as being highly functional. It would add a hefty dose of glamour despite its relatively small size. The irregular hexagon shape contains several different panels featuring flower and leaf patterns in high relief and textured triangular sections. The mirror itself is clean and clear with a subtle bevel. The bevel is just about the only subtle thing about this piece!

The mirror is wood backed with an imprint "Made In England" which is slightly surprising as these repousse styles were commonly European. The back has one fairly large scratch but this obviously doesn't affect the use of it.

The surround has signs of use and wear, as one would expect, but these don't detract from the overall appearance in any way. At some point the wall fixings were removed, leaving two small holes in the surround but these are hard to spot - probably because your eyes are dazzled by the thing! The mirror measures 13cm by 18cm (5 in by 7 in) and the surround measures 36cm by 29cm (14 in by 11¼ in).

Charming Wood Framed Mirror

With a heavy weight which belies its dimensions, this rather rustic mirror is perfectly charming and perfectly functional. The frame measures approximately 19cm by 24cm (7½ in by 9½in) and the mirror 13cm by 18cm (5in by 7in), making it ideal for smaller spaces or as a purely decorative wall item. The frame has a depth of 2cm (¾in) - good things come in little packages!

The mirror and frame are in generally good condition with only minor age-related wear - which adds to its appeal - and the backing has been renewed and secured with new pins and framers' tape. The original hanging fixture is present and sturdy.
