This cute little vintage plastic figure is one of a range of bobble head / bobbling nodding / nodder animals made by Breba of West Germany. In this case, it's a Dachshund whose head and tail are articulated and weighted to provide the entertainment. Measuring 13cm (5 in.) from the tip of his nose to the end of his tail, this little dog is a quirky little ornament for the Dachsie lover or the collector of these unusual objects.

In good condition with no chips or cracks or missing parts (often the ends of their tails are sadly lacking!).

Vintage Celluloid S. A. Reider Nodding Stork with Baby Bobble Head

A rare vintage celluloid plastic figure made by S.A. Reider. One of a variety of toys/gifts made by the company, this one would most likely celebrate the birth or impending arrival of a baby, playing as it does on the folk tale of storks delivering babies! In common with many of the other figures this one has a nodding / bobbing head and comes with a tiny baby figure which dangles (somewhat unnervingly) from the stork's neck.

A charming and quirky item - certainly a little bit different! This one still has its original label intact and is in good vintage condition. The stork measures approximately 10cm (4 in.) high and 8.5 cm (3¼ in.) long.

Pair of Vintage Handpainted Kokeshi Dolls with Poseable Heads

This pair of unusual vintage handpainted Japanese Kokeshi dolls have distinctive sugegasa hats (aka "coolie" hats), charming "bobbling" heads and decorative kimono costumes. The heads are poseable via a small dowel in their "necks" which allows for some movement to create a sense of expression. There is some minor wear to the paint whch is consistent with their age but there are no significant dings or scratches to either doll.

The Kokeshi dolls measures approximately 7.5cm (2¾ in.) tall.
