Early 1980s Hornsea “People” by John Clappison – Bridesmaid and Pageboy

These cute stylised figures are part of the short-lived Hornsea Pottery range of "People" designed by John Clappison and made by the company in the early 1980s. This pair are a bridesmaid and a pageboy and stand approximately 10cm (4 in.) tall. Their cute hairstyles and stylised clothing are very much in-keeping with the range and they make a sweet couple.

In good general condition with no chips or cracks but with some slight discolouration due to age. Sold as a pair but consideration will be given to splitting them at potential buyer's request.

Vintage Italian Sommerso Triple Colour Glass Teardrop

A stunning three colour "sommerso" Italian glass sculpture in teardrop shape, possibly attributable to Flavio Poli for Seguso, in rose pink, pale cyan/teal and blue colourway. Dating from the 1960s, it requires little more in the way of words to describe it. We'll let the pictures and the item do the talking...

In good original condition with only one minor flaw which is a nibble to the base which is not visble when placed. Due to the nature of manufacture there are some very tiny bubbles internal to the glass work.
The sculpture weighs approximately 925 grams and measures approximately 17cm (6¾ in.) in height, 9.5cm (3¾ in.) at its widest, with a depth of approximately 6cm (2¼ in.)

Small Brass Concorde Jet Desk Ornament

Of undetermined origin but seemingly of some age, this nicely detailed small brass Concorde desk ornament on a stand might suit a collector of Concorde-related memorabilia, a general aviation enthusiast, or simply someone who wants a small taste of the jet age on their desk. The plane sits on the stand via a ball joint which allows for positioning and also screw which provides a more fixed placement.

The ornament is in good condition and measures approximately 8cm long, 5cm wide and 6.5cm high.

Japanese Kokeshi Dolls / Birdcage Ornament

This cute vintage Japanese ornament is best adjudged by viewing our photos, but a description follows...

A charming little piece - possibly symbolic - featuring two miniature Kokeshi figures (a boy and a girl) standing underneath a stylised tree with flowers beside them. A parrot in a mirrored glass cage hangs above them. It's a diminutive object (just 12 cm / 5in high) and is really rather sweet. We aren't sure of its age, but it does have the signs of being rather an old piece.
