Small Brushed Aluminium Clamp Lamp by Maclamp 1970s

A small clamping desk lamp with brushed aluminium finish typical of the 1970s. This one was made by Maclamp and was probably sold via Habitat originally. It features very clean lines and an attractive shape. The contrasting black plastic tubing and plastic clamp fitting add to the look, and allows the lamp to be attached to a horizontal surface such as a shelf or desk or to a vertical surface such as a wall unit and then positioned accordingly.
Despite its small dimensions it makes a bigger design statement with those sleek, shiny looks.

The lamp measures approximately 30cm in height overall, the shade measures 15cm from front to back with a rim diameter of 12 cm, and the flexible nexk measuring approximately 20cm in length.

This one is in good condition - not without some small signs of both age and use to the metalwork - and in working order, though as with all electrical items it should be safety-checked prior to use in its destination environment.

Classic 80s Red Clamp Fitting Gooseneck Desk or Shelf Lamp by Ring Lighting

A classic design of the 1980s and de rigeur for your red, black and grey bedroom back in the day! A Ring Lighting clamp-fitting spotlight lamp suitable for mounting to your desk or to a shelf and shining on your collection of tapes, your boombox,... you get the idea ;)

In bright red with black clamp and cabling it's a great-looking lamp in good condition. A few minor grazes to the metal shade around the rim and a couple of weaknesses to the red plastic tubing which covers the gooseneck but otherwise in good shape. At full extent the gooseneck measures approximately 36 cm (14 in.) and the main part of the shade measures approximately 12cm (4¾ in.) in diameter with a depth of 7cm (2¾ in.) The bulb holder takes a small screw style bulb.

Vintage Danish Kay Bojesen Hanging Fur and Teak Wood Figure

Almost certainly made by Kay Bojesen, this vintage Danish figure with wooden teak body and long articulated arms and fur hair is often referred to as a caveman. Caveman, gorilla, ape... who knows, but what is certain is that this smiling figure - who can either hang from his hands or can stand in position - has quirkiness in abundance. with painted noise, eyes and mouth and oversized hands and feet.

The figure measures 18cm (7 in.) approximately in length from head to toe and 28cm (11 in.) in span from hand to hand with arms outstretched. It will hang from a nail or hook, or from a shelf, or can free stand with a little persuasion. He's in good condition considering his age, just suffering from some slight fuzzying of his fur around the eyes, some gaps to the fur around his legs, and some wear to the painted surfaces.

Vintage Kay Bojesen Style Hanging Wood and Fur Figure

In the style of Kay Bojesen, this vintage Danish inspired hanging figure with wooden body, long hooked arms and fur hair invariably causes a smile on the face of those who see it as broad as its own smile. In good vintage condition - with some minor wear and tear to the paintwork and most likely re-strung at some point - it's a slice of kitsch decor which has great appeal to this day.

The figure measures 18cm (7 in.) approximately in length from head to toe and 25cm (10 in.) in span from hand to hand with arms outstretched. It will hang from a nail or hook, or from a shelf.

Small Atomic Style Side Table or Coffee Table with Magazine Shelf

An elegant small side table or coffee table with characteristic atomic style legs and a faux wood effect surface. The black covered metal legs feature white caps and the angles and slender lines add to the visual effect, whilst the magazine shelf and dimensions make for an eminently practical piece of furniture for a mid-Century style home.

The table measures approximately 75.5 cm (width) by 30cm (depth) by 43cm (height) - 29¾ in. by 12 in. by 17 in. - with the magazine shelf approximately 15cm (6 in.) from the floor. The table collapses flat to a height of about 10cm (4 in.), simply by removing the struts which attach the legs to the shelf, which then is separated from the rest of the table. It is not without a few minor cosmetic issues - notably some peeling of the plasticised wood effect surface on two of the corners, some general wear to the black surface covering of the legs, and some patches of discolouration to the faux wood surface (please review the photos) but these do not detract too significantly from the overall look of the piece.

Danish Teak Side Table with drawers and rattan shelf – rare at this size!

It's quite uncommon to find small pieces of Danish mid-century furniture, and this stunning side table with drawers and a rattan undershelf is proof that good things do indeed come in small packages (sometimes!). A sleek and stylish profile houses some useful storage in the shape of two drawers and a rattan covered open shelf and the unit sits on a great pair of "compass" shaped legs. In very clean condition with signs of wear and tear consistent with the age of the item, this table is not just good because it's small, it's good because it is good and very usable in a modern home.

The table measures 58cm (23 in) high, with a width of 64cm (25 in) and a depth of 30cm (12 in).

Dinky “Displayette” clear plastic display shelf

Back in the 1950s and 1960s Britain was a front runner in the world of engineering and design and we made things like this <record skip>. Err, we made things like this? Apparently, we did indeed make the "Displayette". This is a small display shelf fixable to a wall via four small nails to provide an almost invisible support for items you wish to show off. Think knick-knacks... small ones!

It's an unusual retro item, to be sure, complete, and with a box measuring 82x15mm (3¼ by ¾in). There is minor box and paperwork tear but otherwise it's in good condition. Apparently, once constructed, the "Displayette" measures 8cm by 8.5cm by 1.5cm (3 by 3¼ by ¾in).

"I say, how dinky!"
