Well proportioned legs and a gallery rail complete the look. The top drawer is slightly shallower than the other two and contains the original maker's stamp "William Lawrence of Nottingham". The drawers have original and sturdy metal handles with the latter having some wear from use so that their original gold colour is diminished. The top surface of the set of drawers is in good condition, with some minor scratches and signs of wear and tear overall, but nothing that detracts from the overall look.  One drawer runner has had a repair and works smoothly and sturdily.

The set of drawers has a width of 92cm (36in), is 68cm (27in) high, and has a depth of 43cm (17 in). We think with those proportions and these stylish good looks, it would look equally at home in an office, bedroom or living room, or even as a hallway piece.
