Floppy drives, dot matrix printers, video display units… welcome to the world of computing in the 1980s, as explored in three dimensions by this illustrated guidebook published in 1984. “Inside The Personal Computer” is a heavily illustrated book which features a number of clever – and sometimes interactive – pop-up elements which allow the reader to explore this exciting era of personal computing through 12 double pages of full colour. Authored by Sharon Gallagher with design and paper engineering by Van der Meer Paper Design.
This copy is in good internal condition with only minor signs of wear and with all pop-ups and other interactive tabs, etc., in working order and intact. The outer cover has a small tear where it joins the spine (see photographs) but this is the only significant blemish to what is otherwise a book in good condition considering its age and function. The book measures approximately 30 cm by 23cm (12 in. by 9 in.)
