Vintage Luxo / 1001 Lamps Grey Adjustable Desk Lamp with Cast Base

Its size, its mid-century styling and its smooth grey finish combine together to make this 1001 Lamps (a re-badged Luxo lamp in reality) a handsome and very practical piece of lighting. A heavy cast base anchors the lamp securely and from that solid foundation, the entire lamp can be rotated around 360 degrees, its arms extended and the shade positioned. The cool grey tone makes it just as flexible when it comes to fitting into its surroundings. The shade is particularly pleasing to the eye, with a broad opening and distinctive "venting" to it.

This one is in good condition, with just some minor signs of age and use - some surface paint loss to the shade (pictured) - but, importantly, no nasty dents or distortions to the shade. The base measures approximately 20cm (8 in.) in diameter and each section of the lamp armature is approximately 30cm (12 in.) in length. The shade has an opening diameter of approximately 20cm (8 in.) and a length of 19 cm (7½ in.). The cable has an inline switch.

Original Cast Metal Sprung Small Decorative Letterbox

A heavy and durable letter box with classic decoration which has some age behind it and plenty of life left in it. It would be the perfect complement to a period property with a Georgian door, notwithstanding that the letter opening is somewhat small - and quite snappy - by today's standards ;)

In full working order, the letter box measures 27cm by 8cm (10.5in by 3in) in terms of outer dimensions, with an opening of 14cm by 3.5cm (5.5in by 1.5in.). The letter box is predominantly black in colour but has remnants of white paints on the edges from previous use.

Danish Paro Design candle holder

Dating from the 1960s, this cast iron Danish candle holder is a stylish and decidely different addition to any decor, but particularly complements any mid-Century furniture.

Designed by Paro, its hexagon shapes accommodate 12 candles (12.7mm) and is approximately 12cm (5 in) in diameter. We think it would look equally good wall-mounted, but probably not with the candles!
