A vintage 1970s calico drawstring bag with green "Sock Sack" design printed on both sides. Designed by Theresa Nunn of Bittersweet and made in Britain (cold machine wash or handwash only).

In good vintage condition with some minor colour fading. The bag measures 28cm by 41cm (11 in. by 16in.).

Vintage Quilt, Tapestry or Fabric Hangers “Hang Ups” in Light Ash

A set of six vintage "Hang Ups" wall hanging clamps or clips designed for displaying fabrics such as quilts, tapestries and other keepsakes. Made in the USA and believed to be ash wood. In good condition. Each "Hang Up" has a backplate which measures approximately 8cm (3¾ in.) by 4.5cm (1¾ in.) and has a brass nut for tightening the clamp section. Overall depth when fully clamped approximately 2.5cm (1 in.), excluding the nut.

Handcarved Coconut Flower Design Oval Plaque

A quite kitsch but well made oval wall plaque with carved multi-toned wood design which we believe is coconut, depicting stylised flowers and vase, complete with hanging string. The background of the plaque is made of a lighter sacking style fabric and the flowers have handpainted detailing. It is a good example of folk art using some rather unusual materials.

The plaque measures approximately 30 cm by 20 cm ( 12 in. by 8 in.) and is in very good vintage condition.

Vintage Orange Trimmed Flowery Lampshade

This lampshade dates from the 1970s and - typically for that era - it prominently features the colour orange and large flowers in its design. The shade is made of a textured fabric with a paper interior and edged with orange trimming. This shade will certainly look the part in the right setting and is perhaps most suitable for a bedside lamp.

The shade is 20cm (8in.) in diameter at its base and 16cm (6¼in.) in diameter at its top, and has a height of 20cm (8in.). In clean and good overall condition, with only minor signs of wear and tear, although the interior paper is somewhat yellowed from age.

Unusual Boxed Asian/Geisha Doll with Changeable Wigs

A very unusual and difficult to describe item! We'll be honest and admit that we know very little about it and our researches have not given us any concrete conclusions, so we are selling very much "as found" and "as described". It appears on first glance to be a Japanese geisha doll - but it might possibly be Chinese in origin - in a light wooden box with glass lid (quite fragile in reality). Perhaps some kind of souvenir or traditional gift. The doll is dressed in red and black fabric robes and has a ceramic head with painted features, and comes with three wigs in their own compartments in the box. To give you some sense of the size of the doll, the case measures about 15cm by 8cm (6.5" x 3").

One of our quirkier finds, this doll is definitely different and is perhaps suited to the collector or to those interested in the culture from which it comes. In terms of condition, there is some fading to the costume which we presume was originally a much deeper black and there is some thinning to the wigs, but on the whole the doll is faring quite well considering the delicacy of construction and age.

Retro Flower Power Orange Double Bed Sheet by Beldorn

A fabulously flowery and outrageously orange terylene/cotton mix double size bed sheet made by Beldorn. It is still in its original packaging and unsealed and unused as far as we can tell. Definitely a retro statement if ever there was one! And, if you believe the labelling, it's "luxury" too!

The sheet measures 230cm by 260cm (90 in. by 102 in.)

Fab Flowery Light Towel Fabric in Blue with Vivid Colours

A vividly coloured and flowery fabric in a lightweight towel style material with white tassled edging and blue ground. A perfect piece for a retro-fuelled picnic, table setting or just for the pure joy of its visual appeal (sunglasses recommended - the colours in this really are outstandingly bright!).

The fabric measures approximately 108cm by 108cm ( 42½ in. by 42½ in.) and is in very good clean vintage condition.
