The vintage game of Floundering by Spears, this edition dating from the 1950s, is a dice-based game where players "catch" or "poach" pieces in order to form fish shapes -- flounders, naturally. This one is complete with all pieces (to make 12 fish in total), 2 dice and instructions printed on the underside of the lid. The game does not include the original dice roller / beaker, but that's not too major a loss. The playing pieces are in good condition considering their age and use, as is the box which has some slight wear to the edges and some ink on one side to the word "Floundering" (see photos).

It's good vintage fun, and we're not just angling for a sale when we say that.

"Packed in Pure Fun". The "Sardines" fishy puzzle is a novelty toy which is both an immediately pleasing concept and packaged in a colourful and interesting way. The aim of the puzzle is to get all of the little sardines back into the tin. It's a little harder than it might first appear - there is only one solution - but helpfully the answer is given on the underside of the "tin". In bright orange and blue, this is 1970s plastic fantastic at its finest. It's just a fun item and it would make for a gift that is certainly different from the norm.

This quirky fellow in brass was probably intended originally as an ashtray or trinket dish and most likely dates from the 1950s. We think he's got something about him and, having given him a clean, think he could grace a new home, perhaps a place to put your keys to go with his scales... get it? No? Suit yourself!

The tray measures 13 x 7.5 x 2 cm (5 x 3 x 1in) and is in good condition considering age and use.

We freely admit to not knowing much about these, except that we LOVE them. They are certainly metal and they are certainly not new, but other than that, they are just what they are - very nice, little fish-shaped toggles. We also have silver coloured ones on offer. Each fish measures approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) in length.
