groovy - Anything In Particular

A very bright and cheerful set of four cups and saucers, designed by Elayne Fallon for Staffordshire Potteries Ltd. The blue kaleidoscope-style "flower power" pattern of the cups is accompanied by equally splendid bright blue saucers. If you want a truly retro cuppa then this set might just fit the bill. 1974, Baby!

This set is clean and free of cracks and fully stamped, though one or two saucer stamps are somewhat indistinct. If we were nit-picking we would say that there's the odd blemish to the glaze in a few places and the bases are a little bit rough, but they are in excellent shape overall and certainly eye-catching!

The saucers have a diameter of 14cm (5½ in.) and a depth of 2cm (¾ in.). The cups have a rim diameter of 9cm (3½ in.) and a height of 6.5cm (2½ in.)

Sadler “Flower Power” Jugs – fab and groovy and three of them!

We probably don't need a description for this set of three Sadler Pottery jugs since the photos and their design title speaks volumes: "Flower Power". They are fabulously retro and would make excellent decorative pieces for any interior harking back to the late 1960s or 1970s.

There are no chips or cracks in the jugs although there is some crazing to the glazes due to age and the spout of one of the jugs (the middle one) feels rough to the touch as if the glaze has become compromised, but these are minor defects in the face of the overall impression which these jugs leave.

The dimensions are as follows:

Small: 10cm height / 10cm diameter at maximum / 12cm spout to handle extremity..

Medium: 11.5cm height / 10cm diameter at maximum / 14cm spout to handle extremity..

Large: 13cm height / 12cm diameter at maximum / 16cm spout to handle extremity.

Orange and Brown Tablecloth with Flowers, Birds and Butterflies

A very funky and large 1970s tablecloth measuring 124cm by 124cm (50x50 in), with an orange and brown design featuring flowers, birds and butterflies. The tablecloth has a white background and yellow-orange border and a set of mid-orange matching napkins to really set off the design. In extraordinarily good condition (never used, we think) and a great example!

Mauve, Turquoise and Blue/Purple Floral Tablecloth

An extraordinarily retro, large 1970s tablecloth measuring 130cm by 130cm (52x52 in), with a vivid blue/purple background and patterned with a combination of mauve, turquoise and light blue flowers. In very good condition and a great example of the era's design - truly fab and groovy!
