Technically a cyclometer rather than a flip clock, the Krups 621 is a small but perfectly formed analogue clock with alarm, day/night and day name display (in German), and rotating seconds indicator. It's an understated slab of minimal design in the vein of Dieter Rams and the Braun design ethos, with a flat front angled slightly upwards from the slender base. The front is dominated by the contrasting display panel whilst the rest of the unit is subtle and sculpted, with no fuss to it at all. Even the time and alarm adjustment knob is cleverly configured to cause the least amount of surface interruption. There's a clean, space-age feel to it.

In fully working condition and with superficial wear and tear to be expected from an item of its age and use. There are no chips or cracks to the casing. It measures approximately 18cm across the front, extends to a depth of 11cm and is 8cm at its highest. Please note, this unit requirees a 240V power supply and is currently wired to a UK 3-pin plug.

Very Large West German Schlossberg Keramik “Staufen” Vase

Coming in at a whopping 36cm high, this Schlossberg Keramik vase made in the early 1960s in West Germany, is as much a piece of sculpture as it is a ceramic item. Decorated in the "Staufen" design it is a visually stunning piece with a dark grey striped ground punctuated by raised white lines and panels of colour: red, yellow and a greenish-blue. It's an eye-catching design with an Atomic style, slightly bulging middle and curved rim and at the size that it is, it would certainly make an impact in anyone's home.

The vase is in excellent unchipped and uncracked condition. There are some very minor blemishes and one section of vertical white stripe is slightly lacking towards the top, but this appears to be from the original manufacturing process rather than anything that happened to the vase subsequently.

The base has the Schlossberg mark on it and the form number impressed into it. The mark is not absolutely distinct - it would seem to be "101/36" but we could be mistaken about that.

We welcome offers on this outstanding and unusual piece and are happy to discuss price and shipping/collection options with any interested parties.

"An adventurous Game of touring in the country and by the sea".

Another one for the category of "board games you've probably not heard of", "Bike About" - which was made by Ravensburger and dates from 1983 - is rather cute and interesting. It features a colourful board and is complete, with two bicycle playing pieces, and a deck of 33 destination cards. The idea of the game is to try to get a bicycle to your destinations on the board before your competition gets it to theirs by diverting the route of it by turns. There's a bit of luck but also a bit of strategy involved, and we at AiP HQ have had an entertaining few games of it ;)

The outer box has some wear and tear but the game itself is in very good condition.
