Cute Vintage 1962 Fisher-Price Small Plastic Barn Child’s Lunchbox

A lot of cute in a small volume, this is a 1962 Fisher-Price child's lunchbox / sandwich box in the shape of a barn. A mostly plastic affair - aside from the metal retaining section in the lid, which would originally have held a tiny flask in place - it is illustrated with charming farm-themed designs on paper. It's just very very charming and small - measuring only 13cm long, 6cm wide and 11cm in height. It's in good condition structurally with no chips, cracks or losses to the plastic, whilst the paper shows signs of both age and use. Does that add to its appeal? We think so...

Vintage Tinplate Clockwork Mouse (No. 2094) made in Japan by Yone

A very charming tinplate clockwork toy of a mouse, made in Japan by the manufactures Yone. This is model no. 2094 of which there are several variations which made it to marker. Some of these are named "Scurry Mouse" and some are "Wonder Mouse". This one is in full working order - once wound up and released, the toy travels rather rapidly across the floor (a smooth surface ideally), spins somewhat randomly and then travels away in whichever direction it is facing. It's not a "bump and go" action - it simply repeats this dart and rotation movement until it runs out of steam. The mouse measures just under 9cm (3½ in.) from nose to base of tail, with the tail approximately 8cm (3¼ in.) in length.

It's in good used and vintage condition with a few scratches as to be expected, and the mechanism has been cleaned and made good internally. Additionally, this one was missing its original ears so we have "manufactured" our own replacements which we think make a good fit. The originals seem to have been some kind of thin plastic, but these new ones are of a softer neoprene/felt material and are also a good match for his/her tail. He or she seems pretty happy with them anyway...

Vintage Novelty Sardines Fishy Puzzle Game 1970s Hong Kong

"Packed in Pure Fun". The "Sardines" fishy puzzle is a novelty toy which is both an immediately pleasing concept and packaged in a colourful and interesting way. The aim of the puzzle is to get all of the little sardines back into the tin. It's a little harder than it might first appear - there is only one solution - but helpfully the answer is given on the underside of the "tin". In bright orange and blue, this is 1970s plastic fantastic at its finest. It's just a fun item and it would make for a gift that is certainly different from the norm.

A set of eight Worcesterware metal drinks coasters with a blue ground and blue, gold and green geometric pattern with a flower-like design in the centre. In good cosmetic condition with just some minor signs of age and use (the odd small surface scratch), and measuring approximately 8cm (3¼ in.) in diameter with a depth of 5mm (¼ in.)

Two sets of eight (8) available. Purchaser will receive a random selection of eight from the sixteen coasters available.

Wells Brimtoy Tinplate and Plastic Toy Cider Lorry Friction Drive

A very collectable and colourful Wells Brimtoy Bedford cider lorry in tinplate and plastic. This is the friction-drive version of the toy and the mechanism is in pretty good shape, though could undoubtedly benefit from a clean and oil. The orange and yellow body of the truck is in very good, though aged, condition and the lorry's axles and wheels are good. There are some signs of surface rusting to the metal underside of the lorry, but nothing serious and certainly nothing that couldn't be gently cleaned off

A cute gift for the cider drinker perhaps or as a decorative bar item, or for the collector of either Wells Brimtoy toys specifically or of toy vehicles in general. It's a good example. The lorry measures about 8cm (3¼ in.) long, about 5.5cm (2¼ in.) at its highest and 4cm (1½ in.) wide.

Vintage Worcester Ware Blue Tudor Spice Storage Canisters and Rack

Ever-so-slightly kitsch (OK... more than a little bit kitsch) spice or herb storage canisters in the Blue Tudor design made by Worcester Ware and dating from the 1960s or 1970s. The four small metal storage canisters - which have secure pop-off lids - are complemented by the original rack for wall mounting.

In excellent condition and seemingly little used, if at all. Each canister measures approximately 8cm (3 in.) in height with a diameter of 6cm (2¼ in.), including the lids and the white metal rack measures approximately 26.6 cm (10 in.) wide, 6cm (2¼ in.) high with a depth of 7cm (2¾ in.). The rack has two fixing holes for hanging.

Art Deco Metal Cigarette Box with Faux Wood Design

Not dissimilar to the shape of a World War One tank, this great little Art Deco cigarette box in metal with hinged lid, features a faux wood effect in two tones and typical geometrical designs. Most likely made for the Squirrel brand of cigarettes, this is an unusual and eye-catching item.

In good overall condition and structurally solid, the box could certainly perform a new role. There is some slight pitting to the top surface and some general signs of age and use throughout, but otherwise the box is clean and cosmetically good, with very little fading to the colours (as is often the case with boxes of this type).

The box measures 9 cm wide by 12 cms deep by 6.5 cm high (3½ in. by 4½ in. by 2½ in.)

Vintage Westermann Umriss Geography Education Classroom Stamp – South America

A vintage Westermann Umriss map stamp of the continent of South America (Nr. 20917 - "Sudamerika"). Originally used to duplicate map outlines in ink for teaching geography in the classroom, these stamps are interesting objects in their own right now. In good, used conditoin and in its original metal box. The stamp produces a map approximately 15cm by 12cm (5¾ in. by 4¾ in.)

The stamp has obvious signs of use, including some aged ink remnants on the stamp and wear and tear to the metal handle sections, minor surface scratches, etc., but in good clean conditon otherwise. The outer metal box, which measures 16cm by 14.5cm by 7cm (6¼ in. by 5¾ in. by 2¾ in.), is also in good overall vintage condition, with signs of ageing to the paper label and minor dents and scratches from use. It is, however, in good structural shape and clean.

A quirky object of interest to those with a background in education or geography specifically, or to anyone who appreciates the visual appeal of maps and mapping-related items. It would certainly make an interesting display piece or paperweight!
