An absolutely stunning and fascinating - and at times jaw-dropping - style guide titled "How To Live In Style", published in 1974 by Laurie Larson Publications, London. And by style, we mean style, _Seventies Style_. The book is a lavishly illustrated guide to the fabrics, furnishings and fixtures of that very particular period of time when carpets were run up steps right to the edge of the bath, when tiles were as garish as the shirts being worn, and when what we understand of as modern domestic convenience began to take hold of homes. It's difficult to do this book justice in words and even the few photographs here are just a small sense of the colourful and often (to our eyes) utterly outlandish sense of style it contains and encourages. The text itself is an intriguing read and has a tone all of it's own...!

The book itself is in good condition with no spine or page damage and just a few signs of age and use, notably a little wear to corners, a couple of knicks to the cover, and a very slight warping generally. It's a hardback measuring 21 cm by 28cm, and consisting of 120 pages. Definitely a rare opportunity to get your hands on it, run your eyes through it and get your head around it...!

A "Magic Puzzle" made by Mettoy under the Playcraft brand which has 6 puzzle images from Walt Disney which are created by "rolling" different sections either horizontally or vertically so that they are arranged correctly. There are four rollable sections on each side making up a puzzle of 16 "pieces". The puzzle is dated 1974 and the six pictures are scenes from Winnie The Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Snow White, Beauty and The Beast, and The Jungle Book.

Measuring approximately 23 cm (9 in.) square, the puzzle is in good condition considering its undoubted use. There is some wear to the card elements and a little curling to the rolling sections but nothing which affects use or impacts too much visually. The red plastic frame has retained most of its colour, unlike many of the time which have become a rather mottled pink.

The wackiest balancing game ever...! That's the claim of Ideal for "Tip-It" and who are we to disagree. It's certainly a lot of fun. The aim of this 1974 game is for each player in turn to try to remove a coloured disc from one of the pegs on the tripod using the "fork" without disturbing the balancing acrobat figure at the top of the pole. It's that simple. But it's also difficult... and entertaining. The merest nudge of the tripod sends the acrobat perilously towards oblivion, it's so finely balanced.

In complete order and working condition. The outer box has some wear and slight damage to the corners, some deformation, and a small puncture on the lid, but it's in reasonable condition overall given its age. The instructions are printed on the inside of the lid.

Set phasers to stun...ned.

An incredibly fine example for Star Trek fans, this 1974 annual is in almost as-new condition, as seen in the photos. We suspect that it's never been read and barely been thumbed - it felt ever so slightly indelicate to take photos of the inside pages and to add any wear at all to the spine. The annual features three full length stories in colourful graphic novel style and we think it'll probably be one of the best copies you could obtain.

A very bright and cheerful set of four cups and saucers, designed by Elayne Fallon for Staffordshire Potteries Ltd. The blue kaleidoscope-style "flower power" pattern of the cups is accompanied by equally splendid bright blue saucers. If you want a truly retro cuppa then this set might just fit the bill. 1974, Baby!

This set is clean and free of cracks and fully stamped, though one or two saucer stamps are somewhat indistinct. If we were nit-picking we would say that there's the odd blemish to the glaze in a few places and the bases are a little bit rough, but they are in excellent shape overall and certainly eye-catching!

The saucers have a diameter of 14cm (5½ in.) and a depth of 2cm (¾ in.). The cups have a rim diameter of 9cm (3½ in.) and a height of 6.5cm (2½ in.)
