1980s Kidco Burnin’ Keys Highway Patrol Car with key – Number 62

Like neon, big hair and leggings, the Burnin' Keys cars were big in the 80s. Made by Kidco they were a die-cast car with a launch system - nothing too unusual there, as there were plenty of toy cars around at the time which had similar. What was different with the Burnin' Keys was that the launcher was built into the car and was activated by a key which came with the vehicle and matched the vehicle. Operational was simple: just plug the key into the back of the car, squeeze the sides of the key slightly and the car zooms off via the spring loaded mechanism.
This one is a 1980 Highway Patrol poilice car number "62" and comes with its original key and fob and is in full working order. Cosmeticaly it's also good with wheels intact and rolling well, and with only minimal signs of wear and tear.

Kidco Orange 1:28 scale Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Car

One for the collectors or perhaps someone who'd like to own a Corvette but can't afford a 1:1 scale! This is a 1:28 scale model Corvette Stingrsy made by KIDCO of Hong Kong. In glorious orange with good decals and generally very good condition, and featuring pop-up headlights, opening doors and bonnet, and good detailing and very solid construction throughout.

Measures approximately 16.5 cm long (6½ in.), with a width of 7 cm (2¾ in.) and a height of 5cm (2 in.)

One for the VW and Beetle devotees! This bright red rubberised plastic Beetle made by Galanite of Sweden is just the thing to brighten up a shelf or show your devotion to the automotive icon.

In good clean condition with some very superficial signs of age and use, the Galanite VW measures approximately 7.5 cm by 3.5cm by 2.5 cm (3 in. by 1½ in. by 1 in.).

Calling all Mini fans! This bright green rubberised plastic Mini car made by Galanite of Sweden is just the thing to brighten up a shelf or show your devotion to the little car that became an icon.

In good clean condition with some superficial signs of age and use, the Galanite Mini measures approximately 7.5 cm by 3.5cm by 2.5 cm (3 in. by 1½ in. by 1 in.). Two available in very similar cosmetic condition.

Boxed Tomy Palitoy Air Blaster Air Powered Car Toy

If you're of a certain age you will remember these from your childhood. You may have coveted the one someone else had. You may even have been lucky enough to have owned it yourself (yours truly wasn't one of those people!). It's a Tomy/Palitoy Air Blaster (also known as the Air Jammer in some regions) from the 1980s - an air-powered toy car which, when pumped up, launches away at speed and with a "roaring" sound and disappears into the distance. They were a lot of fun and still are if you have the space to let it run. This one is in excellent condition, with original box, pump and the "starting line" card. Re-live your youth or simply have a blast with it for the first time...

Batteries not included. Batteries not required!

Vintage Escor Wooden Car with Four Figures

An absolutely charming wooden toy car, in a well-worn played-with condition which only adds to its appeal. Most likely made in England by Escor - though it is missing the characteristic oval sticker which would have been affixed to the bonnet - it is believed to date from the 1960s. Later models by Escor have a different wheel design, so this would seem to be an earlier model. The body of the car is actually in reasonably good condition, with most of the wear being on the recesses for the figures and on the black wheels. The figures are more play worn, but appear to be a man, a woman, a child and a dog. They "sit" in the car nicely and don't have any significant defects, though the paint is very worn - in the case of the dog figure particularly so.

It would make a great display item and it certainly has character in abundance!

Large Plastic Vintage Friction Drive Mercedes 300SL Gull Wing Coupe

An unusally large Mercedes 300Sl toy car with working friction-drive action. The car is unbranded but seems to be of some considerable age - its similarity to other items and the particular model of car (the "gull wing" doored coupe) leads us to believe it was made as early as the mid-1950s to 1960s. Most likely its origins are in Hong Kong.

The car is presented in a bright green colour, but at some point it was at least partially painted. There are remnants of silver paint on the grille and bumpers, so it's likely that there was silver detailing to the car when it was brand new. There are signs throughout that this was a much-loved and much-used toy which has quite a few miles on the clock but the relatively soft plastic body has resisted cracking and other damage. The wheels turn smoothly and the friction-drive mechanism is good and produces a satisfying sound in use.

The car measures approximately 26cm (10 in.) long and 11cm (4½ in.) wide, with a height of around 7cm (3 in.).

French Wooden Citroen Car (1960s/1970s) made by Fernand Beaumont

A charming wooden toy car made in France in 1960s/70s by Fernand Beaumont. This wooden toy is a model of a Citroen C4 and has an appealing simplicity for children of all ages The roof of the car is removable for those sunny days when a convertible is required!

Measures approximately 21cm in length (8¼ in.), height with the roof on is 9cm (3½ in.), and maximum width is 10cm (4 in.). In very good condition with just a few minor dings and scratches to the wood from being played with - nothing deleterious to its overall appeal. The original typewritten maker's label is present on the underside of the car.C4

Large Pink Cadillac Biarritz Eldorado 1959 Diecast Model 1:18 scale

Of no great age, we reckon that this model Pink Cadillac would nonetheless make a super display or decorative item or a quirky gift for the fan of Americana. Without its box or stand, the model is in good condition bar a couple of defects (a cracked windscreen and a re-glued wiper) and it certainly makes an impact. The body is made of diecast metal with plastic interior and fixtures and features opening doors, opening bonnet (hood), opening boot (trunk), adjustable sunblind, adjustable seats, adjustable front wheel, workable steering, and independent spring suspension for wheels.

Dimensions: 33cm x 11.5cm x 8cm (13 in x 4½ in x 3¼ in).
