1980s Multi-Coloured Westclox Plastic Quartz Wall Clock

You'll probably either love this or hate it, but if you were a teenager (or slightly younger) in the 1980s then you might very well have had one of these on your bedroom wall. It has all that you'd expect from something of that era - bold primary colours, seemingly random shapes and geometric leanings. Think of the United Colours of Benetton, for example, and you're there. This is a Westclox quartz wall clock which was made in Britain and is primarily an ode to plastic and colour.

It is in full working order - requiring a single "AA" battery to run - and the plastics are all intact. It's likely that the "body" of the clcok was a more vibrant yellow originally. It has turned into a rather pale yellow colour with age. It doesn't seem to have been due to sun exposure (i.e. a yellowed white), as the entire body (external and internal) has faded consistently and evenly. There are some minor scratches and grazing to the outside of the body, but the clear face cover is in good shape with only very superficial scratches.

The clock measures 21 cm (8¼ in.) in diameter, the face has a diameter of around 16 cm (6¼ in.), and the clock has an overall depth of just over 4 cm (1¾ in.)

Vintage Westclox Electric Alarm Clock with Buzzer and Flashing Light

Very much of its time, this Westclox alarm clock, made in Scotland, has a brushed metal effect clock face with blue and light green detailing, red sweep hand, a lamp which flashes alongside the buzzer alarm, and is housed in a cream/white rectangular plastic body (it may have been white originally but it has aged slightly to a cream tone). It is mains powered. The alarm functions perfectly and is set using the dial on the rear of the body, where the dial to set the time is also located. The buzzer is extremely effective as a waker-upper - in other words, it's loud. The lamp flashes at the same time meaning you've absolutely no excuses for missing your wake up call! The alarm is deactivated on a temporary basis by pushing the button down on top of the unit and disabled more permanently by sliding the button slightly forwards when depressed, to latch it in place.

In good condition, with only minor signs of wear and age to the plastic body, and fully functional.

A really nice-looking and effective alarm clock which hopefully will find a suitably retro environment in which to wake up the inhabitants!

Westclox Quartzmatic Brass and Wood Clock

An uncommon and handsome vintage mantle clock in brass and wood with German Quartzmatic movement. Made by Westclox, this clock is in good condition, bar a little marking around the fitment screws (the clock can be disassembled for cleaning via these screws). Paired with mid-Century furniture, this clock really looks the part!

Measures 16.5cm x 9cm by 6.5cm (6.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 inches). The battery compartment is clean and the clock works exactly as it should.
