The condition of the lamp is generally good and it is working order. There are some minor aspects of the condition which should be noted, principally that the top curved white panel with the ring for the bulb holder is not as even as it might be. It's secure but has deformed, and although it would most likely be out of sight in normal use, the potential buyer should be aware of it. Also to the top is a hairline crack to the orange plastic - it doesn't feel like it's a worry structurally and there's no sense of becoming worse. Again, it is not noticeable in ordinary use.

The "spider" ring (for fitting the bulb holder) is not original but is a good fit for the lamp. Otherwise, the lamp is in good shape with only minor superficial surface scratches as to be expected of an item of some age.

The lamp measures approximately 30cm in height overall, the shade measures 15cm from front to back with a rim diameter of 12 cm, and the flexible nexk measuring approximately 20cm in length.

This one is in good condition - not without some small signs of both age and use to the metalwork - and in working order, though as with all electrical items it should be safety-checked prior to use in its destination environment.

This one is in an untampered-with condition which is our preference. The signs of wear are all part of the lamp's credentials and history, and we'd much rather see a dented original shade than a pristine modern replacement. These things are built to last however, so structurally and functionally this one is sound - the lamp holds position and works extremely well throughout its range. The heavy base has signs of use and age but is clean and there are no breakages anywhere. What is new, however, is the wiring and the bulb holder and the adjustment screw at the elbow. We've gone for a very simple combination of black braided three-core cable (earthed to the earthing screw at the base) and a standard lamp bulb holder. Less is more sometimes. The adjustment screw is more or less cosmetic but it does help maintain that perfect balance should you use a heavier or lighter bulb.

The stand measures 28cm up to the bulb holder with a base diameter of just over 8cm. There are signs of age and use throughout and some minor losses, but in this particular case it just adds to the charm of the item. Almost certainly when it was first made it was a brighter white, but it has aged to a cream tone.

This one is in an off-white colour, a very light grey with a hint of mushroom and it's a good example. There is some minor wear to the shade and some minor losses to the arm, but otherwise it's in good condition and working. The lamp can be used both on a desk or table top or wall mounted, with the latter bringing that large button and fixed arm into their own.

The lamp has a base with a diameter of approximately 14cm and a depth of 4cm whilst the lamp itself has a total height of approximately 33cm (with the shade positioned parallel to the lower part of the arm). The lampbolder takes a standard bayonet style bulb.

It is fully functional, has only a few signs of wear and tear, no chips or cracks to the plastic, and very little tarnishing to the metal neck. The white body still retains a good colour, unlike some examples of this particular lamp which sometimes have turned into a darker cream colour. The label on the underside has some pen marks on it from a previous owner.

The original cabling has been replaced with a generous length (3m) of suitable braided neutral-coloured alternative and the lamp has been tested as working. It has an unusual rotating switch for turning the light on and off. There is wear throughout but both the metal shade and the wood handle have been sensitively restored to retain the character of the lamp.

The lamp has an oveall length of 30cm (12 in.|), the shade rim has a diameter of 19cm (7½ in.) and a depth of 18cm (7 in.), whilst the handle is approximately 17cm (6¾ in.) in length.
