With a chocolate brown and light brown colour scheme and numerals, this small Hanson desk alarm clock is a little plastic slice of retro style, which would look equally good in the kitchen, in a living space or the bedroom. The distinctively curved body - almost a truncated teardrop shape - houses a battery-powered movement and an alarm with a cream button on top to set/reset the latter.

The plastics are in relatively good shape, bar some superficial scratches. The clear plastic face of the clock has rather more signs of age and wear - there are a couple of reasonably lengthy scratches which are noticeable from certain angles, but there are no cracks or other structural issues. Notwithstanding these cosmetic issues, overall the clock makes a fine piece and certainly has strong visual appeal due to its colours and shape.

The clock measures approximately 11.5cm (4½ in.) in height, including the button, 9.5 cm (3¾ in.) at its widest and has a depth of 7cm (2¾ in.). The width of the base is 7cm (2¾ in.).

For the chocolate lover or Cadbury fan in your life or for yourself, it's always chocolate time with this clock! ;)

A big chunk of chocolate-coloured plastic with gold-coloured hands and face design incorporating the familiar Cadbury logo, that's the basic description over and done with! Believed to be a promotional item, the clock is fully working and in good condition with just some minor superficial wear and tear, the most notable of which is a ding to the edge just above the indicator for 3 o'clock on the clock face and some minor wear to the "Cadbury" text. The clock runs on a single "AA" battery and measures approximately 20cm (8 in.) square with a depth of approximately 6.5cm (2½ in.) not including the hands. Please note: the clock movement has an audible tick but not a disturbingly loud one.

A large desk or small floor lamp which was made in the 1970s in this distinctive chocolate brown colour from the time with characteristic cobra head, simple linear "vents", and flexible tubed neck. This one is branded SANTI and made in Italy, similar models were branded AB Fagerhults and made in Sweden and they were sold in Habitat.

The lamp "body" is plastic throughout and relatively lightweight (the base is not heavily weighted). A subtle power button is located just behind and underneath the cobra head. The gooseneck portion is covered in a black ridged plastic tubing and allows for flexible position of the head.

The lamp is in good condition and working. It should be noted that rhe plastic tubing covering the gooseneck has some minor dimpling to it and there is some wear to the rear edge of the plastic base near to the power cord. However, neither of these is particularly offensive nor noticeable in ordinary use.

The lamp measures 81 cm (32 in.) approximately in height with the neck fully extended and the base measures approximately 16.5 cm (6½ in.) in diameter and 4cm (1½ in.) in height. The "shade" portion of the lamp is approximately 15cm (6 in) in diameter and the flexible portion of the lamp is approximately 23 cm (9 in.) in length. The lamp takes a standard bayonet bulb, the recommendation being for it to be either a traditional or "globe" shape to suit the aperture provided by the shade.

With its brown colour scheme and retro font, we think it's safe to assume that this square plastic kitchen wall clock by Hanson dates from the era of avocado green bathroom suites, the Austin Allegro, and flowery wallpaper - the 1970s. The clock is almost exclusively brown - chocolate brown square casing, a lighter brown face and digits, and dark brown hands and certainly would have blended in nicely with kitchens of the time. We think it has life left in it, either as a kitchen clock or shelf standing clock, and it is in full working order.

Cosmetically there are some superficial scratches to the case and cover as one might expect, but no chips or cracks. There is some discoloration to the lower section on the inside of the clock due to the clear cover being removed and stressing the plastics, but this is unlikely to be visible in normal use and almost certainly not if wall mounted. The clock takes a single "C" size battery and is almost entirely quiet. There is no sweep or second hand, but rather the minute hand continuously moves around the face in a gentle fashion as the seconds pass. The clock is 20cm (8 in.) square approximately with a depth of 4cm (1.5 in.)
