Ingap Children’s Orange Intercom Toy Telephones Made In Italy

It's for you-hoo! Made in Italy, these are a pair of INGAP toy telephones in a pleasing orange colour with suitably retro faux rotary dials (with French language text on them), audible ring and light-up indicators. They are effectively an intercom system - once connected (wired), each phone can "call" the other by lifting the handset and pressing the dial button. The other phone emits a "ringing" sound and its light goes on to indicate an incoming "call". As it stands, that's as much functionality as these currently perform, but it's enough to be entertaining. There should, it seems, be voice-over-wire functionality as well, but it doesn't work. It may be a loose connection or similar problem, but these are sold "as is" with decorative appeal as much as the their limited functionality in mind.

They're quirky and colourful and perhaps the "pager" functionality will appeal to someone!

Each 'phone takes a 4.5V 3r12 flat battery (not supplied due to postage restrictions)

1970s Red Sanyo Stereocast RM5430 Flip Clock Radio with Alarm

A slice of mid-1970s Japanese tech, with looks to accompany the Toyota Celica and Datsun 260Z cars of the same era. Finished in a fetching red, it's unashamed in its aesthetics, with bold black front panel with silver detailing and a sloping section upon which several sliding controls (volume/band/radio function) and the "Sanyo" branding appears.

Technically, the RM5430 is an AM/FM radio with alarm (buzzer or radio), sleep mode (up to 3 hours, no less!) and alarm snooze ("auto repeat" as it's termed here) and a flip clock, and it runs from a 240V-rated power supply. To the rear of the unit is the reason for the "stereocast" label - the ability to output to stereo speakers instead of the on-board mono speaker. And alongside that a headphone socket.

The unit is in full working order and good cosmetic condition, with no cracks to the plastic body and only minor signs of age and use (superficial grazes or scratches and a couple of very small "dings" to edges). The silver detailing around the knobs on the front panel has worn slightly away in places from use and there is some wear around the branding badge but otherwise it's in good visual shape, considering its age.

1980s Sealed Platignum Colour Vibes Cartridge Pen

With a multi-coloured style typical of the 1980s, this Platignum "Colour Vibes" cartridge fountain pen is not only sealed and as new, but it also comes with a free correction/eraser pen and a orange sticker proclaiming this. A rare find in this condition and a nice item from the period when muliti-coloured plastic was all the rage.

Small Bay Keramik West German Vase in Brown, Yellow and Black 511-14

A small slightly shouldered vase, made by Bay Keramik in West Germany, in muted brown tones with a yellow interior and slightly raised abstract pattern in black around its middle. Measures 14cm in height (5½ in.) with a rim diameter of 5cm (2 in.), a base diameter of 7cm (2¾ in.) and a maximum width of approximately 9cm (3½ in.)

In good condition with no chips or cracks and just minor signs of age and use. Stamped to the bottom BAY WEST GERMANY with the form number 511-14.

Large Blue and Purple Floral Design Thetford Tray

A superb large Thetford Tray from the 1970s, measuring 45cm x 55cm (17.75in x 21.5in) in blue and purple tones with magnificent flower designs for a truly authentic retro look.

There are some minor chips to the underside edges and slight discolouration from use but the top is in very good condition. This would make a great statement piece for any table...

Original 1980s Tomy Kongman Game Boxed/Complete

It's a game of high skill and daring. The perilous path to Kongman's kingdom isn't easy. The "No-Go" bridge, the magnetic crane, the captive balloon and the incredible magic wall have to be conquered. Have you got what it takes to reach the top?

A dexterity game by Tomy dating from 1982, Kongman is similar to the more commonly available Screwball Scramble but it isbattery operated and is based on a vertical board with various obstacles to navigate with the ball bearing around. A timer can be used to add additional excitement to the game or it can be run in a free mode without time limit. The obstacles are numbered with score points, and the player reaching the highest score with the metal ball within the given time wins.

This one is in fully working condition - it has been thoroughly tested! ;) - and unlike many it includes the spinning Kongman card section and holder from the top of the board. The card is slightly worn but is in better condition than most. This is the first edition of the game and it comes with one ball bearing for game play. The outer box has some wear and tear but is generally good. The plastics of the game are all present and correct and the battery compartment is clean and corrosion-free. For a toy which is nearly 40 years old potentially, it's all in good shape.

Funky Golden Yellow and Black EKS Kitchen Scales Made in Sweden

What can be said that the photos don't say!? Bold design (1970s Ford Capri, anyone?), bright golden yellow, black and white colour scheme. A highly usable set of old school kitchen scales. Swedish. Made by EKS. That's it - just look at them! These have got to be the funkiest looking kitchen scales you've ever seen. If not, then get in touch, because the competition is on!

The scales are in excellent working condition with very minimal signs of wear or age to the plastics. They measure approximately 20cm (8 in.) by 16cm (6¼ in.) by 15cm (6 in.) when in the "stored" position shown in the photo, and approximately 24cm (9½ in.) by 16cm (6¼ in.) by 18.5cm (7¼ in.) when in use with the tray on top of the base. There is a calibration dial on the face of the scales and the weights are displayed primarily in Kilogrammes and then secondarily in Pounds and Ounces.

1970s Orange Zyliss All-Purpose Plastic Storage Container in Original Box

A very funkily designed storage box from the 1970s made by Zyliss in Switzerland, featuring a nested set of containers on a single corner pivot allowing them to be opened and used independently or lifted out. The set comes in a very retro shade of orange and is in the original box. The top section has a solid lid and the base is weighted for stability. The two middle trays are in a clear plastic allowing the contents to be visible.

The unit is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and very little, if any, signs of use. The box is also in good condition, even retaining its original price sticker from "Co-Op". In summary, this is a very useful set of containers with many practical purposes, but with its orange colour and rounded corners also a very nice retro design piece.

The unit measures 17cm (6¾in.) by 12.5cm (5in.) by 11cm (4¼in.)

Dumler & Breiden Form 108/20 Vase in White/Grey Speckled, Teal and Orange

A decidely striking vase by Dumler & Breiden in the form 108/20, featuring a slightly speckled and textured white ground offset by a glazed and textured middle section featuring square and circle shapes and teal and orange colours. As if that wasn't enough, the interior is finished in a glazed black. VERY funky.

The vase is 20cm (8 in.) tall and is 14cm (5½ in.) in diameter at its widest point. The rim and base are both approximately 9cm (3½ in.) in diameter. In very good condition with no chips or cracks.

Pair of 1950s Vinyl Covered Beech Framed Stools

A matching pair of original and unusually shaped low stools, probably intended for a kitchen, with beech frames dating from the 1950s. The seats are not square, instead tapering slightly from back to front and the legs extend to very pleasing ball feet. The stools have their original vinyl covers which are intact but which are not in the best state (see photo), with some paint marks and minor tear damage. Although we loved the original covers, we have treated the stools to a fresh Scandinavian-style design in olive green, blue and brown on a white background, but left the original covers underneath should the buyer wish to use them.

The stools have been carefully cleaned, sanded and waxed.
