OK, so it might not quite qualify strictly as "vintage" but it certainly feels like a piece of memorabilia from a bye-gone age now. If you were a teenager in Nottingham or its surrounding area in the 1980s or 1990s, then you might immediately recognise this bag. As iconix as the shop fronts which bore the same design, perhaps. This bag dates slightly later than the original Nottingham shop(s), as it include the later Soho London store's details. The same store which featured on the cover of Oasis' 1995 album "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?".

The bag - measuring 34cm by 39cm - has been paired with a pre-owned Sixtrees frame which has a plain white surround and provides a suitable and understated complement to the bag and the record shop branding.

A double-sided printed advert / flyer for the business of Thornton-Smith antique furniture dealers of Soho Square, London. The front of the advert depicts the "new premises" of Thornton-Smith, dating the advert on or around 1910, with the reverse listing some representative items from their catalogue. It's a single colour print in a terracotta colour which is a very pleasing decorative item as well as an interesting piece of retail paraphenalia.

The paper measures approximately 8¼ in. by 10¾ in. (21cm by 27 cm) with the printed area approximately 7 in. by 9 in. (18cm by 23cm).

This is one of those items about which it would be wonderful to know more. Who owned it? Was it specially made for them? Where has it travelled to? What we do know is that the owner of the case had the initials "M.W.", that it was handcrafted with quality materials, and made by Leuchars & Son. (later taken over by the esteemed Asprey house) sometime in the early part of the 20th Century or latter part of the 19th Century. Certainly it was made when Leuchars & Son had premises in Piccadilly, London and in Paris, because it is stamped to that effect in the lid. What we also know is that originally it had something resembling a grooming kit layout or at least it was something designed to carry implements or objects both small and large. The interior previously had a blue fabric lining, long since departed. What remains is a relatively large, unusually-shaped case finished in leather and pig skin (it is believed) and which is ready for a new life somewhere. Doing what, is left to the buyer, but it would certainly be a useful storage box for any number of things and an interesting one at that!

The case is structurally quite sound, although it should be borne in mind just how old this is, so casually throwing it around is not recommended. The lining has been replaced with a modern bright mustard yellow (almost gold, but not quite) which should prove to be hard wearing enough and provides a contemporary flourish to the otherwise black casing. The lock does not come with a key, but the catch does operate enough to keep the lid in place. Finally, the handle has been repaired using remnants of the original interior in order to retain as much originality as possible.

The case measures approcximately 29cm in length (11½ in.) with a depth of 11cm (4¼ in.) and a height of 7.5cm (3 in.). Internally the measurements are approximately 27cm (10¾ in.) by 9.5cm (3¾ in.) by 6cm (2¼ in.)

Offers are invited on this special and genuinely unique item.

A small cardboard box in two parts with metal reinforced edges which retains its original label for the jewellers of G. W. Harvey & Co. of Frederick Street, Birmingham. The box was sent sometime between 1880 and 1930 from the London jewellers of Robert Pringle and Co., whose emblem is printed on the sides of the box - with one side having the remnants of a red wax seal on it.

The box measures 16cm by 8cm by 8.5cm, and due to its age, origins and wear would make an interesting display piece. It's certainly an unusual item to have survived and has lots of character.

Made by the American company of Libbey, this is a complete set of eight colourful glasses depicting international cities: Madrid, Athens, Hague, Havana, London, Rome, Bombay, and Paris. Perfect for your "Mad Men" cocktail cabinet (if you have one) or for any enthusiastically retro drinking environment ;)

The presence of the Havana glass dates the set between 1959 and 1961 (see the 1959-60 Libbey Catalogue here: http://libbeyhistory.com/Catalogs/19591960fall.pdf) . Because of the Bay of Pigs / Cuban Missile Crisis - and the sensitivity of having a Cuba-related item in the set- Nassau replaced Havana in 1962.

The glasses are in the "Double Old Fashioned" tumber glass style of the range and each is approximately 4in (10cm) high with a diameter of 3in (8cm) around the rim. Overall, the glasses are in very good condition, aside from a nibble on the rim of the "Havana" glass which is a shame but we don't think that it renders the set any less desirable.

Made by jewellery designer John Pinches, this large vintage solid silver pendant with a beautiful 24ct gold finish commemorates Christmas and is one of 12 pendants with designs inspired by "The Twelve Days of Christmas". This particular pendant represents the first day of Christmas and features a beautiful engraved Partridge and Pear Tree on one side, and an excerpt from the carol on the other side: This being "My true love sent to me a partridge in a pear tree".

A great investment piece, gift for a loved one, or indeed as a very fine piece of jewellery to wear.

The pendant is a solid silver piece of jewellery weighing 26 grams. The pendant was not mass produced, being available only in 1976, and is therefore an excellent collector's piece. The chain is vintage, sterling silver, with a non-precious gold finish. The pendant has a full sterling silver assay office hallmark with date letter for 1976 and "JP" maker's stamp for John Pinches.

The pendant measures 3.8cm (1½ in) in diameter, with a 3mm (1/8th in) thickness. The curb chain has a length of 45cm (17 in). The box is original and although not perfect is nevertheless clean and tidy. The pendant has some minor marks, mostly on the reverse side, but nothing which detracts from the overall appearance and quality of the piece.

Perhaps the epitome of the Swinging Sixties in London, BIBA was a fashion brand which did more than simply sell clothes - it sold the mood of the time and the lifestyle, becoming iconic in the process. Ultimately its own branding became part of its merchandie on offer, including these small (4.6cm by 6.5cm) playing cards with the famous Art-Deco tinged BIBA branding.

These are now highly desirable and collectable, for the enthuasiast of the BIBA brand or fashion in general or for those people nostalgic for the era!

The cards appear to be almost unused with no visible wear. The outer box does have some signs of handing and storage wear (particular to the rear) but considering their materials and age we consider them to have done well to look this good at their age.
