French Arcopal Volcan Lidded Casserole / Tureen / Serving Dish in Opaline Glass

A superb vintage piece made in France by Arcopal, part of their distinctive but increasingly uncommon Volcan range, this large circular lidded dish is heavy and toughened, reminiscent of Pyrex glassware. In a striking marbled orange, mustard and brown with a textured finish this dish is not only a very useful kitchen or dining item but it also would make a fabulous decorative piece in its own right.

Rim diameter 21cm (8¼ in.)
Base diameter 12cm (4¾ in.)
Height 9cm (3½ in.) without lid, 14cm (5½ in.) with lid.
The dish and lid are both in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
