Vintage Wade “Fern” duo of cup and sandwich plate in red, black and white

A very stylish duo of a sandwich plate and cup made by Wade, in a very 1950s design of red, black and white in the “Fern” pattern. The plate is a truncated slightly oval affair with curved handle-like forms on each end whilst the cup has a deep red interior and sits off-centre in the plate providing room for sandwiches (or biscuits!).

The plate meassures approximately 24cm (9½ in.) in length with a maximum width of approximately 23cm (8¾ in.). The cup has a rim diameter of 9cm (3½ in.) and a height of 6cm (2¼ in.). Both are in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks butthere is some crazing to the glazes as to be expected, and some minor marks/discolouration to the underside of the plate.
