1960s Marx Toys Battery Operated “Baby Bulldozer” made in Hong Kong
£16.00
Dating from the 1960s, this is Marx Toys’ “Baby Bulldozer”, a bright orange plastic motorised bulldozer which features forward and reverse movement and a front scoop which moves up and down as the bulldozer travels. A lever to the back of the toy selects the direction of travel (and turns it off) and the scoop automatically lowers and raises. A great-looking little toy measuring approximately 17cm (6¾ in.) in length, this one is fully-functioning and in good shape considering its undoubted use. The tracks are in particularly good order. There are some minor defects, notably some missing plastics to the driver and to the top of the bulldozer which there should be some small black plastic mirrors and a stack, but these aren’t too detrimental.
The toy takes one “D” size battery which fits into a compartment on the underside (see photos).
