Very Kitsch 1960s Donkey Figurine made by Trentham / Beswick

This large (22cm / 10in high) figurine of a sitting donkey, possibly a baby donkey, must definitely fall into the category of “it’s so bad it’s good” – we certainly think so! Made by Trentham Art Wares in collaboration with Beswick it was undoubtedly proudly displayed on many a 1960s mantelpiece. Now it’s a superb slice of kitsch and sure to raise a smile in a contemporary environment.
Ours is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The makers number “352” is visible on the base.
