Reeves & Sons Vintage Wooden Artist’s Oil Paints Box and Palette

A very nice vintage wooden artist’s box/carry case by Reeves & Sons Ltd., which dates from the late 1960s or early 1970s.  In a rich golden wood finish the box is solidly made and has high quality carpentry throughout, making it not only fully functional as intended but also just a very nice-looking object in itself! They dont make them like this any more!

Inside the hinged lid, you’ll find a number of compartments for paints, brushes, etc., an original palette and clip-on wells. In excellent condition, the box measures 36cm (14in) by 25cm (10in) by 6m (2¼in).  We have cleaned and restored the outer box and given it a wax finish, but have left the interior untouched. We think the palette itself is a work of art, so have done nothing to it.
