Unusual Small Japanese Telescopic Desk Lamp in Black and Faux Wood
£45.00
A small telescopic desk lamp, made in Japan, and probably dating from the 1970s. It certainly has an unusual design, the most obvious aspect being the “caged” white section on the shade which allows the lamp to be used in its most compact form and still provide illumination. The lamp also features a contrasting faux wood panel and a low/high setting to set the intensity of the light. The telescopic arm and rotating uppermost sections allow for a variety of positions and angles to be obtained. It’s a quirky little lamp with practicality high amongst its attributes, particularly where space is an issue.
In good cosmetic and fully-working condition, with only minor signs of use and age. In its most compact form the lamp measures approximately 18cm (7 in.) in height, the lower body section being half of this. The telescopic arm extends to approximately 27cm (10½ in.) with the shade diameter 8cm (3inb.) at the opening and 4cm (1½ in.) at the rear.
