Vintage Chinese Single Bar Exercise Wind-up Gymnast Acrobat Toy MS014

A very entertaining and cleverly engineered vintage toy which, when correctly set up and wound up, rather dramatically and energetically emulates a gymnast on the bar apparatus. The very light plastic (celluloid, possibly) figure spins around the bar with a variety of movements based on the counterbalance of the weight provided by the vertical arm. It’s impressive and very quirky!

In working condition and with only some minor signs of wear and tear to the box and some minor tarnishing to the metalwork. Otherwise, it’s in very good shape indeed.
