Vintage Mustard and Brushed Metal Adjustable Desk Lamp

A vintage desk lamp in brushed aluminium and enamelled mustard colour metal with a vertical stand and adjustable arm which is fixed to the vertical by way of a tensioning mechanism. The origins of this lamp might be Italy – there are similar lamps made by Prova, some with a flatter base and some with a deeper base, such as this one. We suspect it was made in the 1970s and probably sold through BHS or similar.

The condition of the lamp is generally good and it is working order. There are some superficial scratches to the metalwork as to be expected of an item of this age and use, but the overall cosmetic state is good.The shade has, importantly, retained a good shape. Most likely, the base would originally have had a plastic cover, but this one does not have one.
