Vintage Purple Arthur Wood Hand Painted Piggy Bank (5272)

A pottery piggy bank, which dates from the 1970s and is unmistakeably an Arthur Wood piece, though no sticker is attached.  The stylised floral design is hand painted in white and orange tones onto a deep plum/purple ground and the piece has the model number “5272” in gold to the base. Also on the base is the original plastic stopper.

The piggy bank measures approximately 22cm long, 12cm tall and 8.5cm wide. It’s in good condition with just some surface grazes and minor wear from use, but no chips or cracks.
