Vintage Yellow Wicker Effect Lunch Box / Tin – British Made

A very fine looking tin lunchbox (or tin with a handle, if you prefer) with a yellow woven wicker effect pattern and “British Made” printed on it. This item is of some age – we suspect at least from the 1950s – and it looks great as a display piece. The signs of use and wear all add to the character and appeal of it, but it is in good clean condition otherwise.
One edge and corner has slight gaping but the latch fastener, handle, and hinges are sound and the tin is structurally very good. With the lid down, the tin measures 20cm by 11cm by 9.5cm (8in. by 4¼in. by 3½in.).
