1960s Orange Perspex Lotus Flower Space Age Pendant Lamp Shade
£85.00
A fab orange perspex pendant lampshade, which dates from the 1960s and consists of two layers of “petals” which combine in a lotus flower fashion to create a very space age style look. The shade is both heavy and well constructed, weighing in at over a kilogram. The top consists of a metal upper ring section into which the petals are screwed with an intengrated “spider” for accommodating the bulb holder. There are six larger outer petals and six smaller inner petals. Depending on the kind of bulb used it can either provide a soft glow effect or something a bit more illuminating with the light coming out from between the petals and from underneath. The sahde is easily assembled – the petals are screwed into place in pairs with a retaining nut on the inside of the shade. The shade will be sent disassembled if postage is required.
