Oak Glastonbury Chair in the style of Pugin Arts and Crafts Victorian

£130.00

An outstanding Glastonbury chair of undetermined age but firmly in the style of A. W. Pugin. The chair has impressive bulk and dimensions, with an uncompromising relation of form and function which reflects the Pugin original and other examples of this quintessential piece of English furniture made during the Arts and Crafts era.

We cannot, as is often the case, be absolutely sure of the age of this furniture – it may be Edwardian or a later copy. Having said that, this Glastonbury chair appears to be of aged condition, with wear and tear to be expected with an item of some age.  In this case, the wear and tear and ageing of the wood only adds to its look. Even if considered to be a reproduction then this chair should still have substantial (pun intended!) appeal.
