Set of three carved horn birds

We love these three carved birds – they have a character all of their own and we think they’d look great in a variety of decors or situations.  We’re unsure of their age, but reckon they are carved from either buffalo or cow horn.

There’s a heron and a kingfisher and most likely a pheasant, which may indicate that these are originally South Asian. Each has a painted finish to add detail to their carving and they sit firmly on small wooden stands.

The birds vary in size with the pheasant the largest, at 15cm (6in) tall and 22cm long (8½in).
