Orange and Purple Sharp’s Toffee Tin
This large (24cm by 13cm by 4.5cm) Sharp’s toffee tin has a vivid orange and purple colour scheme with boats at sunset theme on the lid. Its underside shows its origins: Edward Sharp & Sons. of Kreemy Works (yes!), Maidstone, England. Sharp’s was one of Britain’s foremost confectionery manufacturers by the middle of the 20th Century – and it’s likely the tin originally contained toffee, for which the company was noted.
