Representing a cross-over period to what we would instinctively see as more “modern”, the Sony Digimatic 8FC-69WA Flip Clock Radio embraces a more forward-thinking aesthetic with clean lines and flip clock display, whilst retaining more traditional characteristics… the wood housing in particular. Designed in 1969, this is a large unit which sounds big too – miniaturisation it isn’t!
The unit has all the features one would expect of a modern clock radio – buzzer or alarm wake, sleep mode, band selector, etc. This one is in generally very good condition considering its age with the wood only showing one or two cosmetic defects and the plastic front panel having some superficial scratches (no chips or cracks).
